Working from her studio at home on her grandparents farm here on the Roseland Peninsula. Georgie’s love for the sea and country have been nurtured from a young age growing up on the south coast of Cornwall.

“I have always felt most inspired by the sea since I was a small girl, it was a big part of growing up here and spending hours at the beach rock pooling, swimming and hunting for shells. My work as an artist is inspired by natural form and what’s around me. I love how different weather conditions and colours can change in a brief moment and my work as an artist reflects this in much of my paintings. Today, something that I try and capture is the light and movement in the water and sky. I’m happiest where land meets the sea, so working at Tatams in Portscatho, in such an idyllic spot serving coffees is the icing on the cake as I can look out of the port hole and draw on this incredible seascape and environment for the next painting that I have in my mind. In my spare time, ( thats when I have any!) I row for Roseland gig club, I love walking Douglas my dog on the beach or enjoying a sundowner or two with friends.
